The transport sector is regarded as the main pillar of the economic and social development as it links the populations centres of consumption and export outlets. Therefore, the transport ministry was embarked on the lay-out of transport policies and plans in accordance with scientifically principles. It also worked out a strategy to achieve coordination among the various transport means on integral principles that would consider the optimum utilization of the resources available.
